ArtLess Bursaries
The School of Arts invites applications for two ArtLess Bursaries for public engagement or community related projects.
The ArtLess Group was established in 2014 to develop creative, entrepreneurial and project possibilities for PhD students across the Arts, and secured AHRC funding for the Arts of Experiment Project, to translate research into potential exhibitions for the art market in partnership with Bury Museum of Art (Manchester). Under the umbrella of the Arts of Experiment the ArtLess group has run a series of events, workshops and initiatives.

The two bursaries will fund public engagement or community related projects that translate research into a public facing event or other collaborative project, which might involve a library, a school, a public reading group, workshops, performances, or other forms that involve specific communities. In addition to planning and running the event, the successful applicants will also need to write a report for our research news once the project is completed.
The value of each bursary is £500 pounds. The event or project will need to take place by 30 September 2016 and the money spent by 31 July 2016.
To apply you need to submit a one page A4 proposal, which should include an outline of the proposed event, the targeted public, venue, etc. and set out how you intend to commit the money.
Applications, including the proposal and a CV, should be submitted to aj.shepherd@bbk.ac.uk, with the subject line ARTLESS BURSARY by 1 May 2016.
